A very simple program to view and manage emails on your Pop3 mail server before they are downloaded to your computer using your normal email program e.g. Outlook Express or similar. This means you can delete virus' and spam emails before they have a chance to do their worst. My program isn't perhaps as fast as other similar programs and doesn't come with loads of in-built filters and features but the way it deletes emails is more satisfying in my view.
Please be aware that ultimately you are responsible for any emails you delete. All my program does is allow you to view the emails on your server and then you decide which ones you want to keep and which ones to delete. If you set up filters to use in the auto mark for deleting process then take care the text you use isn't going to appear in any message you might want to keep
Program includes an uninstall facility.

The following steps will help you to list and delete emails on your server.
1. Set up a new mail account by clicking the Add A Mail Account button at the top of the screen
2. Click the Connect button to connect to your pop3 mail account
3. If the connection is successful and you have emails in the account a list will appear in the top right grey box
4. Each email is numbered and shows it's size in bytes
5. Single click on an entry and the first part of the email should appear in the green preview box. Use the Find Top Line, Find 'From' Line and Find 'Subject' Line buttons to jump straight to those lines in the email
6. Double click an entry and the whole email should appear in the green preview box
7. To mark a highlighted email to be deleted, click on the Cannon or the Manual button
8. Once you have marked some messages, click the Delete Marked Messages button to delete them
9. To automate this process, click the Auto Mark button at the top of the screen
10. The automated procedure marks each email if it has any of the phrases in the pink filter list on the left
11. After the automated process has finished you will need to click the Delete Marked Messages button
The filter list is basically a list of words and phrases which the program looks through for each email during the Auto Marking process. If it finds one of the phrases in the list in one of your emails then it marks that email for deletion. e.g. many virus' are carried in exe files so if you have a filter with the phrase ".exe" in, the program will pick up all those emails that contain the phrase ".exe". Not all file attachments appear in the text body of an email however, so you may have to pick another phrase to catch those. To unmark an email for deletion just highlight it in the email list box and click the Undo Marker button.
My program comes with a list of common words and phrases in the filter list already. To add to that list click the Add Filter button and enter your word or phrase in the input box and click OK. If you want to copy a phrase from an actual email then double click the line you want to copy in the email preview green box. This will place that line in the bottom yellow box where you can highlight, then right click and copy the text you want. When adding filters make sure you don't add common phrases which other people could use in normal emails. Pick out something odd which none of your contacts would normally write. To delete a filter, highlight the entry in the pink filter box and click the Delete Filter button. To edit a filter just double click the filter entry and an edit box will pop up.
The program also keeps track of how often filter phrases are found. See the Filter Statistics Screen details below.
Add A Mail Account Screen
The following steps will help you to add a Pop3 mail account:
1. The drop down mauve list is the accounts you have saved previously in the program
2. The name in the mauve box is just a memorable name you associate with the account
3. To add a new account type a name for it in the Account Name box e.g. "my mail"
4. Then type the server or host address of your POP3 mail account e.g. mail.yourdomain.com
5. Then add the user name and password for that account into the appropriate boxes
6. Finally click the Add Mail Account button
7. You CANNOT edit an existing account listing by altering the yellow box entries
8. To alter an account listing, add a new one under a slightly different name
9. Delete any account by choosing it from the drop down mauve box
10. Then click the Delete Mail Account button
11. Go back to check your mail by clicking the Check Mail Account button
On this screen is also the facility to add a cheerful message to the delete marker. Just type in something in the Message when deleting box and that will appear each time an email is marked for deletion. This could be "Bye, Bye" or something quite rude but satisfying as the cannon ball rips through the offending email.
Filter Statistics Screen
This lists your filter phrases and gives a figure for how often they have been found in emails since you started using the program or since you last reset the staistics to zero. The following is some help for the screen:
1. To delete a filter, highlight it and then click the Delete Selected Filter button
2. To reset the statistics to zero from today's date, click the Reset Statistics To Zero button
